Suné Greeff

Speech-Language and Hearing Therapist

Suné Greeff is a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language and Hearing Therapist. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Stellenbosch University in 2019 and is currently working on her Master's degree in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) at the University of Pretoria to deepen her expertise and passion for non-speaking people to have a voice and access to information to engage with the world.

Suné's career has taken her from South Africa to Cambodia, where she's made a big impact in hospitals, NGOs, and private practice. In South Africa, she helped start speech therapy departments and developed support groups for moms with premature babies, breastfeeding, and families of children with cerebral palsy. She also created programs for caregivers of children with autism and playgroups for kids with developmental delays. Suné has worked closely with nurses and doctors to spread the word about the importance of speech therapy.

In Cambodia, Suné has contributed to help build the speech therapy workforce. She has trained diverse groups of people and has worked with local organizations to support individuals with communication disabilities. She has also worked closely with various organisations and stakeholders to create speech therapy resources that make sense for the Cambodian culture.

Suné's therapy sessions are all about family. She loves getting family members involved and making them part of the process. She is certified in Neurolinguistic Programming for life coaching, which helps her have meaningful conversations that make a real difference. Suné believes in respecting different cultures and using various communication methods to help individuals and families achieve their speech, language, and communication goals.

Suné takes a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on the whole person and their unique needs. She works closely with her clients to set achievable and meaningful goals, ensuring that therapy is tailored to their specific situations. Suné believes in empowering her clients and their families, helping them build on their strengths and develop the skills they need to communicate effectively and confidently. She emphasizes collaboration and active participation, making therapy a team effort.

Outside of her professional life, Suné enjoys spending time in nature, yoga, hiking, and exploring new cultures. She loves reading and is always on the lookout for a good book. Suné is also passionate about cooking and enjoys experimenting with different cuisines in her kitchen. Her diverse interests and experiences enrich her approach to therapy, helping her connect with clients from all walks of life.
